First Day of Fall 2019

Today is the first day of Fall 2019, I’m so excited! 🍂🍁🍂

This time of year is all about the natural landscape changing colors, pumpkin spice everything, and the start of the holidays!

Here are the activities I’d like to do this season:

  • visit the mountains to see the yellow/orange/red/brown foliage
  • go hiking, maybe camping in the mountains
  • grow a pumpkin, or pick one from a local pumpkin patch
  • carve a pumpkin
  • visit the pumpkin wall in Charlotte
  • bake a pumpkin pie out of fresh pumpkins
  • make my own homemade pumpkin spice latte
  • make pumpkin/butternut squash soup
  • bake pumpkin spice cookies, cakes, or muffins
  • stuff and eat an acorn squash
  • go apple picking in an orchard in the mountains
  • drink fresh hot spiced cider at an apple orchard
  • go to an Oktoberfest and sample lots of beers
  • learn to knit or crochet
  • start a bonfire and toast vegan marshmallows from it
  • see balloons take off at the hot air balloon festival
  • go to the Hispanic heritage festival
  • maybe go to the Renaissance Fair
  • and of course celebrate Halloween and Thanksgiving!!

It seems like a pretty big list, but I think I can do it! I’d also like to revisit this list and cross off each activity once I’ve done it. Maybe I’ll write a post or two on a few of them with my experience, if I can remember to take pictures. Anyhow, I’m ready for that crisp fall breeze and to do these activities while wearing all the cozy sweaters!

What are your favorite things about Fall, and what are you looking forward to the most this Fall 2019? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
